This year will look a little different due to COVID-19, but our goal is the same: to expose local 7th – 12th graders to many of our region’s careers in a fun, interactive way. JA Virtual Inspire is a coalition of educators and industry leaders, led by Junior Achievement of North Central Ohio. At the center of our work is a powerful, virtual capstone career exploration event that will be massive, measured in student engagement and impact. This dynamic career development experience gives our area’s next generation of workers access to high-growth careers and area employers, post-secondary education opportunities, and interactive career activities.
Over 18,000 to 10,000 7th-12th grade students from school districts across 15 counties!
Formally integrated into school curriculum
Interactive showcase of careers from throughout our region
Access to the career exploration event for 6 months!.
Connect with professionals from some of the region's most prominent employers.
Explore career pathways and learn about the skills needed for in-demand jobs.
Empower students to connect their own interests with a variety of career opportunities.
Students will begin their exploration with mostly abstract notions and will end up focused and activated, with real insights on what industries interest them, what specific jobs are like, and what education is required to do them successfully. Not all students receive career mentorship at home, and JA Inspire Virtual will help students begin focusing on their future career options. For businesses, this is a chance to build your workforce and start showcasing the careers that will be needed for your business in the future!
Each school will have a unique login for the virtual event, however it will not contain any personal information. If students choose, they may enter an email address to download materials provided by the business partners; that information is not stored in the system.
In the event lobby, you will see all of the different booths that you can virtually visit and also go into the auditorium to listen to webinars and presentations! If you need help while you are in the event, visit the Info Desk – plenty of resources can be found here. A detailed “How-To” guide can also be found in your Student Guidebook.
